Explore Namibia

From wildlife-rich plains to dramatic coastlines

This scenic journey showcases some of Namibia's most iconic and contrasting regions - from the wildlife-rich plains of Etosha National Park, through the rugged landscapes of Damaraland, to the dramatic Atlantic coastline and the haunting beauty of the Skeleton Coast and lush greenery of the Caprivi Strip.

Etosha National Park

Etosha is the heart of Namibia's wildlife experience. Vast open plains and salt pans are dotted with waterholes where elephants, lions, rhino, giraffe, and countless plains game gather.

Game viewing here is exceptional, offering close encounters and unforgettable photographic opportunities. The park's unique landscape - centered around the massive Etosha Pan - creates dramatic backdrops for wildlife viewing unlike anywhere else in Africa.

Whether you're a first-time safari visitor or an experienced wildlife enthusiast, Etosha delivers extraordinary experiences around every corner.

Brandberg Mountain, Damaraland

Damaraland

Traveling west, the scenery shifts to the raw, ancient terrain of Damaraland. Towering rock formations, deep valleys, and desert-adapted wildlife define this remote region.

Highlights include dramatic mountain passes, prehistoric rock engravings, and the chance to encounter desert elephants and other uniquely adapted species that have learned to survive in this harsh but beautiful landscape.

The ancient rock art sites offer a window into the lives of the San people who inhabited this region thousands of years ago.

Skeleton Coast

The journey continues to Namibia's wild coastline, where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean. Coastal towns offer a change of pace, cool sea air, and expansive beaches.

Farther north lies the Skeleton Coast - remote, windswept, and steeped in history. Shipwrecks, fog-shrouded shores, and stark beauty make this one of the most striking and least disturbed coastlines in the world.

The name "Skeleton Coast" comes from the whale and seal bones that once littered the shore, and the many ships that met their fate in the treacherous fog and currents.

Caprivi Strip

In stark contrast to Namibia's arid landscapes, the Caprivi Strip (Zambezi Region) is a lush, water-rich wilderness shaped by four major rivers - the Zambezi, Chobe, Kwando, and Okavango.

This region offers a completely different side of Namibia, defined by floodplains, riverine forests, and abundant birdlife. It's a paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers.

Beyond the stunning scenery, Caprivi offers exceptional wildlife viewing, peaceful river scenery, and a slower, immersive pace of travel. It is the perfect complement to Namibia's deserts and coastline.
